Bettie has been singing about Jesus since she was four years old.  At the age of twelve, during a revival meeting, she gave her heart to Christ.  Immediately, her songs took on new meaning!  She and her sister, Shirley, traveled and sang as the Koone Sisters.  Later they added Lola Stidham Prillhart and became the Melody Trio.  Soon Garvey Winegar joined them in singing and playing the guitar.  They sang in the meetings of Evangelist Maze Jackson as well as for Dr. Harold Sightler of Greenville, SC.  God used their singing all over the Southeast for His glory.

For thirty-four years Bettie taught the Kindergarten grade in Christian schools.  She and her husband reside in Shelby, NC, and attend the Maranatha Baptist Church.  They have three sons (one is with the Lord), one daughter, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

These songs, some of which have been written and arranged by Bettie, come with the prayer that your heart will be challenged anew to reflect on God's marvelous mercy!
